Once you have completed Mucking Out & Yard Maintenance you will be able to:

Discuss the purpose of using bedding in the stable.

Know how to clean rubber matting.

Muck out and maintain a deep litter bed.

Recognise and know how to use different equipment needed for all yard duties.

Check the bed depth.

Know how to provide clean water for the horse.

Skip out a straw bed.

Skip out a shavings/hemp bed.

Recognise and discuss the different types of bedding, plus the benefits & limitations of each one.

Discuss the different ways muck can be disposed off.
-
Store tools and bales correctly.
-
Understand the importance of a routine for the horse and yard.
