Step 1

Bring all the mane over on to the right side of the horse’s neck.

Step 2

Spray the mane with de-tangler.

If you are plaiting the mane, miss this step out.

Step 3

Using the mane or body brush, start from just behind their ears and brush the hair downwards.

Step 4

Continue brushing the rest of the mane.

If the mane is sticking up, dampen it down using clean water and the water brush.

Step 5

Groom the forelock forward.
