Using a warm dampened sponge or disposable cloth, gently wipe around the anus area and remove any residue from the droppings.
When cleaning a mare, gently wipe the vulva area first and then wipe the anus. This prevents the spread of infection.
Rinse off the sponge with warm water, then wipe in between the buttocks removing any residue.
Wipe the dock area.
Remove any residue from all areas of the hind legs.
