Once you have completed Travelling the Horse you will be able to:

  1. Perform safety checks on a horsebox or trailer.

  2. Prepare an equine for travelling.

  3. Discuss and understand the reasons for using travel equipment on the horse.

  4. Put on and remove travel boots.

  5. Discuss the benefits and limitations of using travel boots or bandages for travelling an equine.

  6. Put on and remove a tail bandage.

  7. Care for and store travel equipment when it is not in use.

  8. Load an equine into a trailer.

  9. Unload an equine from a rear unloading trailer.

  10. Unload an equine from a front unloading trailer.

  11. Load an equine into a horsebox.

  12. Unload an equine from a horsebox.

  13. Correctly tie up an equine in a trailer or horsebox.

  14. Discuss the benefits & limitations of a choosing to use a horsebox or trailer.
