3. Discuss and have knowledge about the grooming kit.

4. Use each item of the grooming kit correctly.

5. Care for and clean the grooming kit.

6. Pick up a front and hind leg correctly.

7. Correctly pick out the hooves.

8. Oil the hooves.

9. Groom each area of the horse's body using the relevant brushes.

10.  Groom and care for different coat types.

11. Groom a horse in a rug.

12. Groom a horse prior to exercise.

13. Care for and groom a horse after exercise.

14. Discuss the purposes of shoeing or trimming the hooves. 

15. Recognise and talk about the needs for trimming or shoeing hooves.

16. Know how to care for the hooves to maintain health. 

17. Recognise and position the external parts of the horse's hooves.
