What is Equine Knowledge?
Equine Knowledge offers online training courses tailored to help prepare you for the British Horse Society examinations. We provide 3 separate courses:

  • BHS stage 1 Care.
  • BHS stage 2 Care & Stage 2 Lungeing.
  • BHS stage 3 Care & Stage 3 Lungeing.
Who are the Equine Knowledge Courses right for?
The courses follow the British Horse Society syllabuses, so are perfect if you are wanting to train towards these qualifications. However, Equine Knowledge is an independent company therefore you do not need to be a member of the BHS, or, preparing for these qualification to enjoy our courses. We welcome anyone wanting to further their learning in horse care.
How do I know which course is right for me?

Equine Knowledge BHS Stage 1 Training Course is suitable for:

Are the courses flexible?
Yes, all 3 courses are structured for you to use in a self-study manner. Once subscribed, you will be provided with full access to all of the online course material for 2 years. This allows you the time and flexibility needed to study in your own time, at your pace.

Furthermore, as these courses are based online you can participate on any portal where internet connection is available.

Where do I access the course content?
All of the course material is accessed online here on our website: www.equineknowledge.co.uk. Once subscribed, you will be provided with immediate access to all the course content for 2 years.
Can I subscribe to more than one course at a time?
Yes, you can purchase all of the courses at the same time. You will have 24 months access to each course from the date of purchase.
Do I have to purchase each of the courses in order?
No, you can purchase them in any order. For example: if you have already passed your BHS stage 1 exam, and are training for the BHS stage 2 exam, you may purchase the Equine Knowledge stage 2 course without having to first buy the stage 1 course.
Are the Equine Knowledge Courses suitable for formal equestrian training?
Yes. Each course follows the relevant BHS syllabus making them perfect if you are a training towards the BHS qualifications, or studying an equestrian course at college.
How long is each course?
Once subscribed, you will be provided with full access to all of the online course material for 2 years.
How much does each course cost to sign up?
  • BHS Stage One Course: £85.00 for 2 years access.
  • BHS Stage Two Course: £95.00 for 2 years access.
  • BHS Stage Three Course: £95.00 for 2 years access.
Are Equine Knowledge courses suitable for me if I am not a horse-owner?
Yes absolutely! If you have a desire to learn about the care of horses then you are more than welcome to sign up.
Does Equine Knowledge provide a formal exam once I have completed the course?
No. Equine Knowledge is an independent company and is not affiliated with the British Horse Society. Our training courses are designed to help prepare you for the British Horse Society Stages 1, 2 & 3 Care & Stages 2 & 3 Lungeing exams.

If you wish to obtain any of the BHS qualifications you would need to sit and pass the exam at an approved BHS exam centre, independently of our courses. This information can be found on the British Horse Society website.

How do I sign up for a course?

How do I access the course once I have signed up?
To access the course you have purchased, log in to the website with your newly created username and password. From here, go to the dashboard and click on the course you have subscribed to.

But if you’re not aware of what you need to know to help pass your exam, or improve your knowledge, then all the free information in the world won’t help.

Do I need to be technically savvy to take the Equine Knowledge Courses?
No. As long as you want to learn about the care of horses, you’ll be fine.
